Samsung recently announced that it will introduce three new Wave mobile handsets: Wave Y, Wave M and Wave III, supporting Bada 2.0. Each one of them is targeted at a specific user group.
The Wave Y model is targeted at entry level users and features a metallic body with a 3.2-inch HVGA screen. Although it features Social Hub, ChatON and allows to users to wet their feet, it doesn’t have enough features in comparison to Wave M and Wave III. Simple personalisation features on the phone include folder management, lock screen, Music Hub and live panel.
The Wave M model is targeted specifically at the social networking ‘addicts’ – specialists to be precise, as it has SocialHub and ChatON on board. The screen type on this model is a tempered glass 3.65-inch HVGA on a metallic body. The phone features a wide range of Wi-Fi applications, enhanced browsing experience for all those on the move and streamlined message feeds. Optional NFC and Wi-Fi Direct are also included.
The Wave III from Samsung is meant for high-end users. It has HSPA connectivity, 4-inch super AMOLED display, a 9.9 mm brushed metal anodised aluminium case and a 1.4 GHz processor. The model also features integrated music and social hubs, permitting the users to easily download music and interact with ones social media contacts as well. Also included in this model are Wi-Fi Direct, improved push notification and upgraded multi-tasking performance features.
All three models are going to be displayed at the soon-to-be-held IFA 2011 in Berlin from September 2nd to September 7th.
