Technorati, Boy Genius Report and some other sources say that the new Android SmartPhone may most likely be “An iPhone Killer”. Believed to be a rumour still and no confirmed news has been received yet, but the new mobile may be the Google Nexus 4.
Powered either using a Krait-based 28 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon processor or a Texas Instruments (TI) OMAP 4460 chip of 1.2 GHz or 1.5 GHz, the handset is also expected to feature a 1 GB RAM and the operating system is advertised to be Android 4.0. Possessing a 720 HD screen with large proportions and 1080 pixels playback and video recording, it will have two cameras – a five megapixel on the back and a one megapixel on the front, basically for video chat. It will additionally have 4G LTE connectivity and only virtual buttons without any physical ones.
The new handset will also be featuring 3D apart from open GL tracking (which is for the purpose of face recognition). Being an Android phone, its open source OS will also allow synchronisation with plenty of other devices.
The new Google Nexus 4 also has an edge over the upcoming Apple iPhone 5 since it will be equipped with a dual core processor.
All this information regarding the Nexus 4 is very much in the prediction stage and no facts have been confirmed yet. However, if these so-called rumours do turn out to be true, Apple will have its first serious competitor to the iPhone.
