Believe it or not, it looks like there is some kind of race going on the mobile phone market.

Believe it or not, it looks like there is some kind of race going on the mobile phone market. To compete for the top rank position amongst mobile phone manufacturers in the UK, Apple and Samsung are battling it out. According to the results of a recent survey, around 50% of the share in the market belongs to Apple and Samsung. To be precise, the two share 53.3% of the market share.

So what makes this Samsung vs Apple battle more interesting? Well, it is about cell phone recycling. When Apple launched the Apple 4S recently, it created waves in the industry and phones started getting recycled at plants in the UK. Amongst the phones getting recycled, there were many used Apple iPhones as well as other brands such as Nokia and Blackberry. Samsung was not high when it came to the list of cell phones getting recycled. Despite that, we still know that its market share is quite high as we can see the number of Samsung phones possessed by the UK residents. This change will lead to more Samsungs getting recycled in one or two years.

While talking about the Samsung phones, there is yet another thought. There is something about Samsung – whether its technology or probably the type of users it has that one does not feel a compelling need to upgrade their Samsung phones constantly. Only when it becomes totally dead, does the owner switch to a newer phone.

Apple’s iPhone 4S’s first-quarter sales figures have helped the company improve dramatically over its performance for the same period last year. The latest figures show that the Apple iPhone sales were a total worth of £7.2 billion in the first quarter of this year. The company managed to pull off a great performance of 35 million mobile phone sales between the time-period of January to March. Their excellent performance was also contributed by the great reception received for the new iPad in the market. All these statistics prove that it will be yet another strong year for Apple and another strong year for the mobile phone recycling as well.
The companies involved in mobile phone recycling announced that the older versions of iPhones are hot selling items in the mobile phone recycling marketplace. Not only are the first and second versions of iPhone getting increasingly turned in for recycling, many iPhone 4 models are also being brought in for mobile phone recycling. This is excellent news for people who cannot afford the latest iPhones. Such people can benefit from the working second-hand iPhone 4 models which have passed through the quality assurance tests at the mobile phone recycling company. Recycling such iPhones not only gives a good revenue generation medium to the mobile phone recycling companies, it also gives many consumers the chance to use a phone that they are always wanted to have.

If you are among those who possess more than one cell phone at home, you are probably the kind of person who doesn’t want to get rid of the old handsets as they have pictures or music on them, which you do not want to lose. This could be one of the reasons why two or three old mobile phones are gathering dust in your cupboard. Does this sound familiar? Do not worry; we have a quick solution to this problem and you can even make money from it!

The first step you need to take is to approach any local cell phone store and request them to transfer the entire data from the old phone to the new one. Such a thing will work if you possess an older model, however you could also use memory cards for your handset, USB cords and many other options available to download pictures directly to the laptop or computer. Once all the information is downloaded to the computer, you can dump all data by resetting the old mobile phone. Do ensure that none of the data remains stored on the old phone.

You are all set to recycle your old mobile phones now and may earn some cash too. Who wouldn’t mind getting a small reward from the existing dust bunny collectors? The amount received after recycling old phones will however vary, depending upon the phone’s model and its working condition. One can earn as high as £200!

Did you hear about the bunch of students in Japan who have jumped on to the entrepreneurship wagon and are using cell phone recycling to rebuild their school and restoring it from the damage done during the earthquake last year. In case you wish to know how they are going about it, well, they are simply going around collecting any old mobile phones people may have. They are even retrieving some from recycling centres as well as landfills and are taking them to recycling places which will pay them for recycling the old handsets.

Initiatives such as these really make one wonder about the endless possibilities of working for your country or assisting any charity of your choice. Any old phones you may have which are lying around idle or unused, can actually be used for someone in need. Simply go online and search for an online cell phone recycling website which can get you good money for your old mobile. Then as soon as your old phone gets turned in, the company automatically sends you the money your phone is worth and does the rest of the work.

Once you receive the cheque, pass it on to the person, charity or even the country that you think is most in need. You too can launch your own campaign like the one in Japan – ask others for their unused old cell phones, turn them in to cell phone recycling centres, receive the funds and hand it over to the charity you support. Someone somewhere will really bless you for this!

A large number of consumers have started appreciating the benefits of mobile phone recycling and the marketplace is right now buzzing with competitive spirit between different recyclers. What comes as excellent news for the mobile phone recycling market is that a large number of people are now actively looking for places that can offer them easy cash for turning in their old mobile phones.

Perhaps, it is just the need for some extra cash regardless of its source. On the other hand, it could also be because of increasing awareness about the environmental as well as monetary benefits of mobile phone recycling. After all, all such old mobile phones consist of precious materials such as nickel, palladium and gold which can be utilised for production of new devices rather than allowing the lithium contained in batteries to contaminate our water supplies. Whatever may be the actual reason of increasing popularity of mobile phone recycling, it is a great thing for all of us.

To tell you the truth, recycling is not just limited to mobile phones alone. Any type of mobile device like an old iPad can also be recycled. Many recycling companies prefer having such old devices as they can be easily resold in the market to someone who is willing to buy a second-hand product. Furthermore, recycling also helps in reclaiming various important elements contained in iPhones and iPads which can be used again for production of fresh electronic products.

As millions of cell phones get trashed away in waste bins and landfills, they are devoid of the opportunity to get recycled. By not engaging in mobile phone recycling, many precious and rare metals get lost in the process.

The government is seriously considering the amount of wastage of these rare metals. Earth metals such as cobalt and gold are used in various mobile devices including cell phones, laptops, batteries, headphones and televisions too. Despite knowing this fact, we continue to discard these electronics rather than making use of schemes like the mobile phone recycling.

It is estimated that from 2012 to 2020, around 12 million tonnes of e-waste will end up in landfills. Roughly a quarter of that figure is expected to be IT equipment containing 17 tonnes of iridium and 63 tonnes of palladium. The lost palladium, if marked in terms of its cost, will be worth nearly a billion pounds and iridium, around 380 million pounds at the current market price level. It is extremely likely that both these elements will be worth much more in the times to come unless their supply increases.

The statements above in no way indicate that cell phone recycling is only about the lost money. It is more about conserving our planet and the limited resources it has. If we do not save and protect the rare elements our future generations will see none of it. Can you imagine what life will be without oil and even the new iPad if all metals are gone. Let us make a beginning and recycle instead of wasting.

Apparently, a lot of people are finally beginning to understand the advantages of mobile phone recycling.

Apparently, a lot of people are finally beginning to understand the advantages of mobile phone recycling. The past few months have witnessed more and more people opting for mobile phone recycling voluntarily. Some school going children have also been collecting mobile phones for the purpose of recycling. These kids are collecting all such unwanted old mobile phones and getting them recycled via Internet. Many other people are voluntarily spreading the word about mobile phone recycling by informing others about its monetary benefits.

Mobile phone recycling is the best way to get rid of an old phone every time you or any of your family member purchases a new mobile phone. Since there are many reliable mobile phone recycling websites on the Internet, people no longer have an excuse for not turning in their old mobile phones, especially keeping in mind the amount of damage these old phones can do to our environment.

All mobile phones consist of some rare elements which are desperately required in order to continue the production of electronics. Moreover, there are certain properties of such electronic items like batteries and touch screens which can be very harmful for our fresh water system and earth. If any of these elements are not recycled appropriately, they can prove to be disastrous for earth.

It is very easy to opt for mobile phone recycling nowadays. All you need is the model number of your old mobile phone for checking its actual worth online. If turned in for recycling, the recycling company will pay you the true monetary worth of your phone.

A suggestion for mobile phones to have a ‘deposit’ same as bottles has been doing the rounds of late. A few experts in Germany believe that if mobile phones have a certain ‘bottle deposit’, people may be more encouraged to send them for mobile phone recycling at the time of purchasing a new model.

Although the suggestion is highly relevant for increasing the number of old mobile phones getting turned in for recycling, it also has certain advantages with regard to the way mobile phone recycling works as of now. The proposal currently under consideration in Germany will make every phone worth €10 on a deposit basis. On the other hand, in case of any of your old mobile phones such as your old model of iPhone (in working condition), you could still obtain a handsome amount of around £50 when you turn it in for mobile phone recycling.

The fact remains that opting for mobile phone recycling can be an excellent alternative, especially if you turn in an old mobile phone (in working condition), still having a certain market value. Mobile phones having good resale value will any day fetch you more value in comparison to a nonworking obsolete model turned in for mobile phone recycling.

Hence, it becomes all the more important to benefit from mobile phone recycling while your phone is still in working condition. You can utilise the amount on from it towards the purchase of a new phone. In our opinion, this particular concept is much better in comparison to a ‘bottle like deposit’ model.

More than 1 billion phones are manufactured and introduced into the marketplace throughout the world every year.

More than 1 billion phones are manufactured and introduced into the marketplace throughout the world every year. Unfortunately, just about 1% of all those phones are put through mobile phone recycling. Environmental experts are requesting people to consider the option of mobile phone recycling, both for their pockets as well as the environment. A popular manufacturer of mobile phones revealed that though not apparent, every mobile phone consists of close to 150 gm of silver, gold and other important rare materials. All these precious materials get lost when the mobile phones are disposed off in the landfills. This is another important reason why many experts are encouraging people to opt for mobile phone recycling.

Mobile phone recycling also provides a great incentive in the form of handy cash to the owner. The fact that they also contribute to the environmental cause, though unknowingly, is an added benefit.

A recently carried out study on the whole of Europe revealed that almost 160 million mobile phones are discarded in Europe every year. This means a loss of around $500 million per year in the form of precious materials. The usage of recycled materials in electronic devices and new mobile phones could in itself make those gadgets a little cheaper.

In fact, there are many more reasons to opt for mobile phone recycling other than just the easy cash obtained from it. It is about saving our planet, reusing the raw materials so that the new gadgets are less expensive and ensuring that the rare materials do not get extinct from our planet.

Many schools in the UK have decided to appeal for donations from mobile phone and other types of recycling. However, the benefit could go to any school. Millions of new mobile phones get manufactured and sold every year. Sadly, around 80 per cent of those devices end up getting trashed in landfills. Precious metals contained inside mobile phones are becoming even rarer for many countries like Japan, which produces a substantial number of electronics in the world. This is the main reason why companies encourage and pay for mobile phone recycling.

The proceeds received from mobile phone recycling could be given to any school, particularly if your kids are in school too. Schools constantly need funds for various purposes – either for updating buildings or for bringing in advanced technology, all aimed at better assisting their students in learning.

Plenty of charities are also available who could be donated the funds received from mobile phone recycling. Recycling of mobile phones is extremely important. You not only get paid in cash for recycling but also do a lot more good by helping the environment, even though you may be using these funds to pay for the new cell phone or are going through a difficult time financially.

Mobile phones contain precious metals such as nickel which have the potential to be reused. Similarly, plastic too can be melted down and reused in manufacture of phones or other electrical products. Schools nowadays are also teaching their students how important recycling of goods, including mobile phones is.

Millions of people in the United Kingdom own smart phones.

Millions of people in the United Kingdom own smart phones. They are in fact so popular here that people have gone to great lengths to buy one, including opting for environment friendly programs such as mobile phone recycling (to get some handy cash) for their purchase. Mobile phone recycling has certainly come up as an excellent green method to earn some fast cash.

Recycling is all set to gain another momentum with the launch of a new smart phone from Samsung that promises to bring the benefits of both mobile phone as well as a Tablet PC in one gadget. Nowadays it is quite normal to see people carrying a second mobile device such as a tablet or an iPad to jot down notes. In order to bank on this opportunity Samsung has announced the launch of this new phone that will provide the best of both the worlds.

The launch was announced recently in the United States. The phone known as Galaxy note features a touch screen (5.3 inches) with a stylus, and is priced at around $300 in the US. So far the hybrid device is available only through AT&T in the US, while the other Samsung models are commonly available through other providers all over the world. It will be launched in the UK too, provided the sales figures in US are encouraging. Samsung had earlier announced that their intention was to offer a smart phone which though had the flexibility of a tablet, could be easily used to attend to calls as well.

Many companies have attempted at offering similar products in the recent past, but none have been able to meet or exceed the benchmark set by the Apple’s iPad.

It has now been ascertained that the BlackBerry mobile phones are the most recycled ones in the marketplace.

It has now been ascertained that the BlackBerry mobile phones are the most recycled ones in the marketplace.

As many as £2.65 million worth of mobile phones were recycled in the month of January 2012, of which BlackBerry mobile phones were the most recycled. Apple 3GS also stood high on the list fetching an average price of £104 for every handset turned in.

Other phones that were found to be extensively recycled included Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Wildfire and the HTC Desire. BlackBerry lost a significant market share in the year 2011 and that seems to be the reason why a large number of BlackBerry mobile phones were turned in for recycling right at the beginning of this year. The start of a new year marks the completion of the previous contracts and the beginning of the new ones. Hence, this period also witnesses a large number of mobile phones getting recycled in exchange of handy cash, which in turn is used towards the purchase of a new mobile phone. Apple 4S is currently getting a lot of attention in the marketplace and it is all set to become the most sought-after phone in the year 2012.

The study also revealed that the BlackBerry mobile phone sales figures went up by 28%. However, this is not very good news for the brand as BlackBerry was also found to be the most recycled phone. The month of January alone has witnessed around 40,000 BlackBerry mobile phones getting recycled. What is even more interesting is that most of these recycled phones are in good condition with almost unnoticeable to no damages. This indicates that the owners of these mobile phones were looking for an upgrade rather than continuing with their BlackBerry models.

Children are the future. They must be protected and cared for. However, unfortunately, children are not treated the same way throughout the world. What is worse is that they end up missing, mistreated and abused in various countries. Sprint, a US based company has initiated a mobile phone recycling programme which will offer assistance to the NCMEC (National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children). The company has already pulled in significant amount of funds for the organization.

Though there is no such programme in the UK as of now, this doesn’t mean that we cannot do our bit for the cause. Even you can help children by opting for mobile phone recycling. The money you obtain from recycling can be donated to any charity that is working towards a similar cause. If you cannot find an appropriate charity, you can directly donate the amount to a needy child.

Mobile phone recycling can earn you some handy cash. A popular model can even fetch you a much larger amount. Anyways, the amount you earn from mobile phone recycling is not as important as the effort you make for the cause. As the US programme provides an excellent medium to people to do their bit for children, it has earned great popularity there and has even caught the attention of millions of people in other parts of the world. Kids, though can be self-sufficient, there are many things they can’t do on their own. Mobile phone recycling can help us do our bit for the environment as well as for such unfortunate children. Hopefully, someone in UK will initiate a similar programme soon.

For better apps, upgrade yourself to newer phones.

To gain some extra money towards buying your next cell phone, an excellent way is to go ahead with mobile phone recycling. If you are one of those who already has a new cell phone, this extra money helps to earn and pay it off or add a little to one’s bank account. Not only can cell phone recycling lead you to a new mobile but also get you some interesting applications.

The next decade, as it is obviously evident, is bent on devising new apps for almost everything. There is a new application now for waste disposal and recycling. It is named My-Waste and is available free for all tablet and cell phone users. The application is basically meant to remind its users to engage in recycling and put out their rubbish apart from any other collections they may have. Only available regionally at the moment, this application hopes to encourage others around the world to catch on enough and start offering similar in different countries and cities.

Currently, this app is in Canada which reminds all residents to recycle and also put out their trash. You cannot get it yet but I can suggest many reasons for you to start using mobile phone recycling. E-waste recycling not only keeps trash out of landfills but even helps in making the environment cleaner and greener apart from fetching you some money for it. Why don’t you take a cue and make something similar for us in the UK?

Receiving cash against your old cell phone has indeed become very popular in the previous four years since it can really fetch a good sum.

Mobile phone recycling is definitely not a novel concept but getting cash in turn is surely a popular and recent development. This was around four years back that the concept of turning in old phones for cash gained popularity online. And the last 2 years have seen more number of guides getting released online on how this works. Who would not mind getting a few pounds extra from something that once cost hundreds?

Companies like cashformobiles.info are therefore willing to meet such needs and they are making it possible for individuals to sell mobiles to them so that they can refurbish, recycle and even resell the used phones. The individual is even paid to send in their mobile phones. By selling some items from home, which are not being used, one can easily make some money.

If not exceeding two, most of us here in the UK have at least 1 old handset, which is not being used. And I can tell you precisely why it happens – it is because we do not know what exactly can be done with it. However now you know that any old phone can easily be turned in for some cash. Just do some research at an appropriate website and you will be able to see how much you can fetch for your old cell phone.

The Nokia Ace advertising will increase the mobile phone recycling to a great extent.

The Nokia Ace advertising will increase the mobile phone recycling to a great extent.

Microsoft is planning to spend around £63.9 million on their new advertising campaign, which will be launched along with the new Nokia Ace. Experts feel that a new spate of mobile phone recycling will be sparked. Considering that many people begin looking out for new phones which are hot commodities, it is surely not an unfounded theory. Most of the people therefore are inclined to figure out ways for turning in their old phones. Cell phone recycling is by far the easiest way to get rid of an old cell phone and also fetch some money in exchange.

Though the marketing campaign will begin earlier, Nokia Ace is expected to be in stores around end March. The campaign will aim at reminding the buyers about the entry of the new phone. The option of windows enabled phone will be promoted by Microsoft. They will sell the Nokia at AT&T in the USA, while in the UK, it will be released little later than the US.

A 5.4% share that Microsoft holds in the market is substantially lower compared to the 46.3% that the Android platform holds. This low share is one of the reasons behind this campaign being launched at an electronics show in Las Vegas. Moreover, more people are expected to show an interest in recycling their mobile phones. Undoubtedly, a great way to make some money to buy a new phone!

The newly launched Windows Phone Platform is now available to mobile phone owners by recycling.

The newly launched Windows Phone Platform is now available to mobile phone owners by recycling.

Recycling mobile phones is a very savvy way to earn funds by recycling old mobile phones. But now, recycling gets even better, after the announcement in the UK of the new entry level Windows Phone. This would probably see a spurt in the number of people who would want to get the Windows platform and would recycle their phones for it. This new platform will be launched in the US and UK, by a joint venture between T mobile and Nokia. This platform will be made available in US first.

The ideal phone to join the smartphone rage is the Nokia Lumia 710. And this will lead to the recycling of many more phones in both the UK and US after the new Windows platform is launched in these countries.

The Finnish company announced that they would bring the biggest 4G network to the US. They also bring an added advantage of the People Hub feature by which communicating with friends and family can become so much easier. There are in fact, many more features and apps brought about by this new phone platform like T Mobile TV and a popular web browser, Netflix. Nokia Lumia 710 is set to become one of the best- selling and most popular phones in the year 2012, as stated by Juniper Research. And the reason for this success and popularity is primarily because of the new operating system Windows 8. Thus, through mobile recycling, one can gain funds for upgrading to the new Windows platform.

Getting your old mobile phones recycled can fetch you some handy cash.

Getting your old mobile phones recycled can fetch you some handy cash.
It is not a good idea to throw your TV, computer, chargers, mobile phones or batteries into the trash bin. All these items fall in the category of e-waste and must be disposed off in a particular manner. Just like it is important to recycle milk, cans, juice cartons, paper, milk cartons and tins in order to protect the environment, you must get your old electronic gadgets and mobile phones to save the environment.
All types of e-waste including computers comprises of sensitive materials that can possibly cause a lot of harm to the earth. The more e-waste is created, the fewer important things we’ll have. Are you aware that copper is known to be one of the most common e-waste that can alternatively be re-used if a mobile phone is recycled properly? In fact several countries pay significant amounts of money to re-use copper available in the e-waste. For instance, Japan is one of the largest producers of electronics and due to that it is always in need of nickel and copper.
It is because of this reason and for the protection of our environment that many companies are now paying customers who turn in their old mobile phones for recycling. All you are required to do is get in touch with the right person to educate yourself about recycling process and to learn about the amount you can earn for choosing to do so. Your old mobile phone might even be resold in the marketplace, but it will be recycled properly eventually.

Christmas presents for children are getting more and more expensive every year.

Christmas presents for children are getting more and more expensive every year.

Have you noticed that even children nowadays expect more expensive items as Christmas gifts? This trend is further boosted by the introduction of several new technologies with each passing year. As if it was not enough, even schools have started incorporating latest technologies involving smart phones and laptops in the classrooms to make learning easier for kids. It has led to more learning options available on computer software for children as young as two years, than the old brick and mortar classrooms. Even though this trend is not very harmful, but it does get expensive on occasions.

A recently conducted PBS survey was carried out with the intent to find out the kind of Christmas gifts parents are planning for their children this year. It revealed that many of them will opt for recycled laptops or mobile phones instead of brand new products. This means that kids can expect an iPhone 3G instead of a brand new iPhone 4S. Experts feel that such gift items might be inappropriate keeping in mind the age of the children and must be gifted only after the children reach a certain level of maturity.

In any case, if you don’t have anyone in mind you can re-gift old technological gadgets to this festive season, mobile phone recycling can be a great alternative for you to earn some handy cash.

The entire world seems to be working towards assisting various different charities at the moment.

The USA has already had many versions of charity donations as far as mobile phone recycling is concerned. The Middle East, on the other hand, is helping to save turtles. Australia too is not behind and is willing to help the needy.

MobileMuster is being used by Oxfam Australia to donate about 2000 chickens for holidays. Chickens will be donated each time two cell phones are sent for recycling through this charity Oxfam Unwrapped. More than 19 million broken or old cell phones are available in Australia which can be recycled. Since there is a noble cause associated with this now, Australia Oxfam hopes that people will start taking it more seriously.

Even though you could be elsewhere and not in Australia, one can still look for ways to help a charity through mobile phone recycling. You may need to use the proceeds of recycling to make your own donations, but you can definitely help. There are many families who need help at the holidays and may use proceeds from cell phone recycling to send it to your chosen charity and save animals or ill people or even donate food to people at a local shelter.

The gist of it is that there is always someone somewhere in need of help so you can opt for any charity and do your bit, especially when upcoming holidays are the talk of the town.
